We are acting as a group of professionals from various fields related to architecture, urbanism, and building, interested in traditional methods. This group includes architects, craftsmen, historians, real estate professionals, and urban planners, with the possibility of evolving into a wider organization over time.

Being a member of INTBAU Hungary is currently – during our introduction phase – free. By joining, you become part of a network of over 10,000 members worldwide and stay updated on its many international programs and initiatives.
As a member of INTBAU Hungary, you will periodically receive the latest news on our events and projects, regarding traditional building, architecture, and urbanism, as well as information on the international network. Members of INTBAU Hungary therefore, can increase their opportunities for professional development, participate in professional projects and expand their network within the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture, and Urbanism.

    Adam Ragab
    Founder and Chairman

    Founder and Chairman of INTBAU Hungary, Adam is a built-environment professional with urban design and real estate backgrounds, and with over 10 years international management experience. He has worked for global and regional consultancies like Colliers, led the regional expansion of a real estate and engineering boutique consultancy firm in SEE/CEE region, as well as initiated and managed rural rehabilitation and urban-scale projects in Romania and Montenegro. He has special interest in vernacular architecture, heritage developments as well as sustainable agriculture. Adam is fluent in three languages, holds an MRes degree in Urban Design and has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) since 2013.

    William Parker
    Board Member

    A graduate of Oxford University, Bill has 40 years experience in real estate valuation, initially in the United States and later throughout Europe and around the world, specialising in challenging, complex and difficult valuations. Reportedly Britain’s leading expert on the restoration of Victorian steam locomotives, he has been the buyer of last resort of several under-appreciated buildings in Britain, including Gunns Mill – now recognised as the oldest largely complete charcoal blast furnace in Europe, currently restored by the Forest of Dean Buildings Preservation Trust – as well as the Green Crown in Dealu Frumos, Romania – now considered on of Fritz Balthes’ masterpieces.

    Real estate professional, held various executive and management positions at companies such as Colliers, Hussar & Co, Arnold Investments. Janos has more than 24-years’ experience in valuation, managing investment transactions; arranging for financing and equity participation, portfolio management, origination, development, project management, leasing and contract negotiations.

    Initiator and Board Member

    Cultural heritage expert and foundation leader, with extensive experience in heritage restoration, tourism development, and international diplomacy. Founder and President of the Kálnoky Foundation, supporting cultural and architectural preservation in Transylvania. Held key leadership roles including President of the Romanian Association of the Sovereign Order of Malta and Chairman of The Prince of Wales’s Foundation Romania. Former senior advisor at the Romanian Ministry of Culture’s National Heritage Commission. Over 25 years of experience in managing historical restoration projects, heritage tourism, cultural diplomacy, and non-profit leadership.

    Traditional buildings and places maintain a balance with nature and society. At Intbau Hungary, we seek to reintroduce traditional architectural knowledge for practice and education, to reduce the sector's environmental impact and to promote adaptive reusability of new constructions and buildings.
